The Takaharu Kiritsuke is easily the most beautiful chef knife in the Aikido Steel collection. Beyond that, with its exquisite, defining VG-10 stainless steel blade, this knife can handle a variety of kitchen tasks, from chopping to slicing to filleting, with incredible ease and precision.
Every knife in the Takaharu Series is made from 33 layers of stainless steel folded and forged uniquely around a core of VG-10 steel. The resulting blade has a total of 67 layers of metal and is incredibly strong and resilient.
Even more notable is that every Takaharu Series handle we produce is completely unique. Each handle undergoes a distinct colorization process, which means the knife you receive will have a surprisingly unique color and pattern. Owners of our Takaharu knives will be able to proudly use a one-of-a-kind, professional-grade knife in their kitchens.
The Takaharu 8-inch Kiritsuke’s beautiful aesthetic, precision blade, and ergonomic design make it a must-have for every aspiring chef.

PRODUCT DETAILS
Handle: Our unique colorization process means that every handle we produce is completely different. Each handle undergoes a special stabilization process during which the wood is filled to the core with colored resin. This process not only yields a unique pattern of colors, but it also provides better durability than traditional wood. Because high-quality stabilized wood absorbs very little water, it is less prone to warping and cracking.
Note: we cannot predict the color or pattern of the handle you will receive.
The handle is octagonal in shape.
Dimensions: 8.1 " x 1.8 "
Weight: 6.8 oz
