The Signature 5-inch Santoku knife is exceptionally well-suited for slicing wet, starchy foods. The carefully designed blade creates air pockets as you cut, so food doesn’t stick to the blade surface. Use this Asian chef’s knife with vegetables, fish, and boneless meats.

Unlike it's 7-inch older brother (which is better suited for larger jobs), the 5-inch Santoku knife allows for more precision and control when slicing ingredients. A smaller knife can be excellent for slicing or chopping:

- Carrots
- Celery
- Small onions
- Garlic
- Small potatoes

FEATURES

Professional Quality
Our blades are made of the highest quality stainless steel, using a vacuum cold/heat treatment process that results in a sharper, longer-lasting blade than other chef’s knives.

Precision Cuts
Our 16-degree oblique V-shaped blades are made from high-carbon CR17 stainless steel.

With 0.3% carbon composition and a Rockwell Hardness rating of 58, Aikido knives are two times as hard as other knives in their class.

Easy to Clean
Made with stainless steel, cleaning Aikido knives is as easy as wiping them gently with a wet sponge or cloth.

Ergonomically Designed
Each knife has been designed with the optimal center of gravity to ensure it is well-balanced in your hand.

The beautiful Pakka wood handle connects to the blade with a double steelhead link. This ensures a comfortable and sturdy grip with every use.

I had never heard of the Santoku knife before. After extensive research, reading several blogs, and comparing prices, I decided that the Aikido Santoku knife was the best value. I have been using the knife for the last 3 weeks and am extremely happy with my purchase
